     March 14th and 15th

     April - tentative

In March, we will show "An Unreasonable Man."

It is an award-winning documentary about Ralph Nader and his legacy of independent action on behalf of others (National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act, Mine Health and Safety Act, Whistle Blower Protection Act, Consumer credit, Pension Protection Act, Medical Devices Safety, Food labelling laws, no-smoking areas, Safe Drinking Water Act, and many more). It's also about his role in two Presidential elections and people's criticism of that. The film takes its title from a quote from George Bernard Shaw, Man and Superman:

"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man."

Note: We scheduled this film prior to Nader's current campaign for President. The Film Society and Arts Center are non-partisan and do not endorse any candidate for public office.
