The Winona Arts Center celebrated its 50th year in 2006. Over the years, the member owned and operated Arts Center has been an important forum for the arts: visual, music, film and the spoken word.
The Winona Arts Center is a creative network committed to increasing community awareness of the arts by featuring the works of artists. It provides an intimate and unique space for performances, exhibits, and other media, and encourages public participation by providing classes and workshops for children and adults.
The Center does not keep regular office hours, and the gallery is opened only through the generous help from our volunteers. Currently the gallery is usually staffed on Wednesday and Friday evenings.
If you plan on visiting the gallery, please consider calling ahead (507 453-9959) to make certain a volunteer is scheduled. To request a gallery visit on days other than the staffed days, please leave a telephone message or contact us by email (contactus@winonaarts.org).
The Winona Arts Center and local artists often collaborate to offer the classes and workshops for the community. If you are interested in teaching a class or workshop please let us know.
We are in the process of creating a Member-Artist page on our website. Often people and businesses ask us for information about local artists and ways to contact them. We would like to offer artists the opportunity to be listed on our Member-Artists page. Listings will include artist's name and contact information as well as a thumbnail image, brief description of the artist's practice and a link to the artist's website (if applicable).
