Inspire Childrens' Workshops

Toy-making

Join LARK Toys' head toymaker Tim Monson for an exciting afternoon toy-making. Participants will learn the basics of wooden pull-toy construction, mechanics & assembly and will make their own take-home toy!
Materials provided. Children ages 6+.

Paper Capers

Paint, fold, cut, glue and print paper. Each of the three sessions will have a topic. Attend one or all three sessions. Materials provided. Children ages 6+

Yoga at the Arts Center - Vinyassa Flow

Vinyassa Flow sessions with an emphasis on proper alignment offering modifications as needed. All levels encouraged. Drop-ins welcome. Dress in comfortable layers, bring a mat if you like.

Saturday, March 24, 9 AM-12 PM

Limp Paper Binding

In this workshop, we will make a limp paper bindings, which have a soft but very sturdy flax paper cover. This binding originated in the 16th century when it was covered with vellum. We will sew a blank text block over linen supports and lace them into the cover. We will also sew endbands at the head and tail of the books.
