DESCRIPTION:Cost: $145 Members\, $150 Non-members (Materials Included) \nJoin Preston Lawing at the Winona Arts Center for a three-day workshop in Bookbinding/Bookmaking. Make a journal or sketchbook while you learn all the skills to produce your books! We will talk about the history and style of books\, preservation and display of your books\, and how to move beyond simple projects towards more intensive\, creative solutions to match your ideas. The classes\, led by Preston Lawing (a nationally recognized art educator and Professor Emeritus from Saint Mary’s University of MN)\, are accessible and friendly\, providing a safe and fun space to develop your book binding skills. \nThis workshop is open to interested creatives over 18.
